When buying a used good - such as an used autosampler - you should evaluate if what you are buying will last at least enough to justify the investment, will match technical specification and satisfy the minimum requirements for your application.
The used autosamplers market is different from that of used analyzers: the positive or negative experiences you may have had with the purchase of used analyzers are not indicative of what you may experience with an used autosampler. Autosamplers, having moving parts, suffer from mechanical wear and tear caused by the usage; this aspect is not shared by most of the analyzers (such as GC or HPLC systems) that are instead affected by other factors of wearing.
